UVC Response to COVID-19

Newport Animal Hospital
Response to COVID-19

We hope that you and your families, including the furry members, are staying safe and healthy during this public health crisis.

As this pandemic continues to develop, we want you to know that our team is working hard to enact safety measures within our hospital to allow us to continue to provide compassionate care for your pets.

If you feel your pet needs care, don’t worry! We’re here for you, just follow these steps:

  1. Connect First: If your pet is sick or you feel they need to come in, give us a call at (239) 317-7011 or email us at hello@newportveterinary.com first. We’ll discuss what’s going on and come up with a plan together.
  2. Curbside Service: If our plan includes having your pet come in for a visit, one of our team members will meet you outside of our hospital. We’ll bring your pet inside for an exam and back out to you when we’re done. This means that unfortunately, you will not be able to accompany your pet during their visit. However, rest assured that our teams are fully trained in safe pet handling and of course, we’ll give them some extra love to make their experience as comfortable as possible.
  3. Check Back Often: Developments are happening rapidly in this public health crisis. Our teams are monitoring carefully and we may need to update our operations plans and our hours as time goes on. We’ll keep you updated here on this page and on our social media sites, so check back often for updates.

If you are feeling sick or have any flu-like symptoms, we ask that you let us know right away. If your pet needs to be seen, we may ask that you have another family member or friend who is not sick to bring your pet in.

Please make sure that you and your family are following the CDC Guidelines guidance provided by your local and state governments and above all, be safe!
